Application Overview
It is a web-based system that allows banking staff and external clients to access the application portal by using their web browsers. This makes use of various middleware API’s (application programming interfaces) and web services to communicate with other banking systems.
Home loan Processing Application
Application Description
The Homeloans processing application is the back-end application that orchestrates all home loan applications. The applications are captured and evaluated and the application integrates with various systems such as credit bureau for scoring, Webconvey to register bonds, Autogrants to grant the loan, and PDG for property valuation.

External Interface Web Front-End
Application Description
The system is used to receive and respond to Homeloan applications from mortgage originators. This integrates to the bank’s back-end home loan application workfl ow system.

It is a client-facing website which is exposed to mortgage originators to submit applications to the bank and it makes use of a connection to a SQL Database.
Webconvey Integrations
Application Description
Used for online real-time conveyance communication between the bank and the attorney on the bank’s attorney panel. This product also tracks and records all the bond registrations for the bank.

Smart Document Online Submission
Application Description
The website enables the mortgage originators to use this web application to submit supporting documentation for Homeloan applications.

It is a client-facing website which is exposed to the originators to submit supporting documentation to the bank and it uses SQL Server to store and record the transaction and document.
PDG(Property Dot Go)
Application Description
Property Dot Go is a property valuation system used by the bank home loan business. The system is accessed by means of a web and mobile user interface.

This application makes use of a workfl ow engine to get all client data before application get processed to the Homeloans back-end application.

Application Description
This is an application for manual credit assessment for home loans retail.

Account Restructure Application
Application Description
To restructure accounts for users that cannot pay their home loan.

The application is installed on the user’s workstations by means of a “oneclick” solution & connects to a SQL Database and uses workflow software in the back end to manage the process.
Conveyancing Tracking Application
Application Description
This application monitors the Conveyancing/ transfer process of all bankassisted sales accounts from the start of the transfer until registration. The application provides information regarding the status of the account and milestones to bank stakeholders. Once the account is registered, the application is used to prepare the schedule to write-off the accounts. With this application, users can download reports.

Daily Work Queues Manager
Application Description
This application is used by the home loan assisted sales team to complete daily work queues and actions on accounts regarding all milestones while it monitors accounts daily. Notes can be made on the application to record the conversations and key touchpoints between the client and the bank, additionally users can upload and store documents electronically. The application includes automated mandate generation capabilities and estate agents receive emails of properties assigned to them daily.

Application Description
This application’s purpose is to provide an account lookup service to validate that account and banking details provided by the client are correct.

Opt-In / Opt-Out Application
Application Description
This application allows the bank to launch an end-of-year campaign for debit orders that need to go off during the festival season. The campaign sends an SMS to the client to remind them of their debit order with regards to holidays & weekends. The SMS will ask whether the client wants to pay on a different date (If accepted, the debit order is moved for the month of December ONLY, and the debit order will go of on the regular date again from January). Payments can be made on Saturdays.

Affordables Application
Application Description
This application manages the payments of properties. A financial officer processes an invoice and sends it down the pipeline where it has to be signed off and verified by two other financial officers. The VAT has to be calculated manually and if the financial officer gets the case approved, payment needs to be released.

Application Description
The bank’s specialised services team users uses this application to work with accounts that are to be allocated to attorneys, to ultimately produce a risk analysis assessment on an account.

Application Description
This application is used to calculate reserves for Consumer Banking, Retail, RRB, Deceased & Insolvent, and Commercial Banking properties. It then sends accounts to the Legal Data Support Application and the Insolvencies and Affordables Application.

Insolvencies Management Application
Application Description
If a specific hold code is placed on the account, it lands in insolvencies and this application is used to manage these accounts. Insolvencies have different visual indicators that indicate the time since an account has been last worked on. This can vary from 0-30+ days which is also characterised by different colours. When the bank or an attorney wants a paper trail, they can follow up on that account within the insolvencies application to retrieve documents saved, emails sent or meetings that took place. This application gets its data from a data feed from another system that is used to manage other areas in the bank’s insolvencies.

Deceased Estates Process Management Application
Application Description
The Deceased Estate application is used to monitor the legal process being followed to wind up estates. This includes the cancellation of bonds, endorsements, and settlements. The system allows users to correspond with their attorney via comments & uploading of estate files & legal milestone documents such as copies of the summons, sheriff returns etc. Deceased Shortfalls are for the most part monitoring of payments (balances below R 100 000) where the bank is not proceeding with legal action. It does however have a few high balances in the portfolio and might proceed with those if no payments or arrangements can be made, the system allows the bank to correspond with their attorney via comments & uploading of estate files and from where the bank can monitor payments.

Shortfall Recoveries Application
Application Description
The shortfall recoveries application receives accounts on a monthly basis. (Bank assisted sales, Upfront loss, Foreclosure and Abandon). The application handles the outsourcing of accounts to attorneys, instructs the attorneys to proceed with litigation, and provides necessary documents (COBs, AODs, statements) to these attorneys. Additionally, this application completes ITC checks and handles communication between attorneys, clients and branches. It further submits accounts for write-off after the proposed settlement is received. The application updates or adds a debit order if requested by the client and provides settlement letters to the client and it can receive monthly invoices from attorneys regarding their commissions & fees.
